About St. Petersburg Shell Club, Inc.
St. Petersburg Shell Club, Inc.
The St. Petersburg Shell Club, Inc. was established in 1936 with the primary goal of promoting shell collecting, marine conservation, and the study of malacology. Our club provides a welcoming and engaging environment for individuals who share a passion for shells and marine life. Through our regular meetings, members have the opportunity to connect with other enthusiasts, stay informed about the latest developments in malacology, and exchange valuable knowledge.
Our club meetings are typically scheduled on the first Friday of each month from September to May at the Seminole Recreation Center, located at 9100 113th Street North, Seminole, FL. The meetings commence at 7 pm and are open to the public. We encourage anyone with an interest in shells or malacology to join us for an evening of learning and camaraderie.
As a non-profit organization, we are committed to supporting the advancement of malacology studies. To this end, we offer an annual financial award to individuals or groups that demonstrate dedication to furthering the understanding of malacology through their research or educational initiatives.
In addition to our regular meetings and awards program, we also organize field trips and special events throughout the year to provide members with hands-on opportunities to explore different aspects of shell collecting and marine conservation.
Whether you are a seasoned collector or just beginning your journey into the world of shells, we welcome you to become a part of our vibrant community at the St. Petersburg Shell Club. Join us as we continue our mission to promote appreciation for shells and marine life while contributing to the advancement of malacology studies.
