About Language Mission School
Hi, my name is Anabel Feliu-West and I began this journey of teaching languages more than 25 years ago in Argentina. In 1991 I opened my first school teaching English called ‘Tina and Bel’, in a small town in the South of Cordoba.
We started school in my grandmothers’ garage with just a long picnic table and a blackboard. Within 4 years the school grew to 9 locations in two provinces and expanded from 17 students to almost 700.
Each class was taught with passion, giving my best in every single lesson. As time passed, I added theatre performances in English and camping trips to help foster a tight-knit community with locals and with other people from other locations.
After moving to the United States a few years ago, I opened ‘J & J Language Schools’ to help students learn Spanish and share the richness of Latin culture. We started out humbly by offering an after-school program at two local schools. Today, we’ve grown and now have 9 schools with three different levels of instruction in Spanish.
I’ve carefully recruited the best teachers I could find to help teach as many people as possible with the highest level of instruction. Language mission professionals are constantly learning and innovating with modern methods and interactive strategies using multimedia resources, with an emphasis on the playful.
