For 26 years, Ride & Run With The Stars has brought the community together in December to participate in athletic competition, a silent auction, and a special delivery of Mr. and Mrs. Claus via helicopter. We look forward to this holiday fundraiser every year, which is why the decision to cancel this year’s event was a difficult one. However, we must consider the health and safety of our community during these trying times.

Despite not having an in-person event, I hope you will consider supporting Ride & Run With The Stars’ charity—the Sheriff’s Christmas Sharing Project. Last year, we raised enough money to provide food, clothing, books, and toys to more than 384 underprivileged families and 862 deserving children whom sheriff’s office members identified through their daily interaction in the community as homeless, economically stressed, victimized, or abused.

Every year, dozens of deputies and other sheriff’s office members participate in a holiday shopping event at Target. Each deputy receives a wish list, created by a parent or legal guardian of the child, filled of items like diapers, dolls, or school supplies. Then the items are hand-selected at Target and delivered to the families along with holiday meals.

To keep blessing these struggling families with gifts and essential items they would not be able to afford otherwise, we encourage you to consider making a donation this year, or adopting a family by purchasing all the items on a family’s wish list.
  • Mail your check made payable to Ride & Run With The Stars to P.O. Box 2500, Largo, FL 33779 Attn: Sergeant Elizabeth Brady
  • Make an electronic payment at https://www.rideandrunwiththestars.com/
  • Adopt a family by contacting Sandra Garcia-Olivares, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Victim Advocate, at sgarcia-olivares@pcsonet.com or 727-582-6465

Come celebrate the abundance of the full Moon Friday evening October 2, 2020 with a special meditation with Joti Nam Kaur (Dr. Adele Giotta, D.C.).

The Full Moon Meditation we will do can only be done on the day of the full Moon or on the day before or after it. There are two full Moons in October. The first full Moon in October falls on October 1st. It is called the Full Harvest Moon. The Full Harvest Moon is the full Moon closest to the autumnal equinox (September 22, 2020 this year). It is called the Harvest Moon because it rises soon after sunset resulting in bright moonlight early in the evening giving farmers more time to harvest crops. It may appear bigger and more orange since it rises around sunset. The second full Moon in October falls on October 31st. It is called the full Hunter’s Moon. It is named the Full Hunter’s Moon because this is the time to go hunting to prepare for winter.

We will do a Kundalini Kriya to get our energy flowing followed by a full Moon meditation and then relax while the sound of the gong vibrates every cell. It is said the vibration of the gong is the same as the sound of creation and that being close to a gong will synchronize your cells to the universe. The gong is used to amplify the energy of the full Moon. It is said to help to reduce stress, alter consciousness, and create a deep sense of peace and well being. Join us on Friday to harness the energy of the full Moon. You will leave feeling balanced and relaxed.

This event is suitable for all levels and newcomers are encouraged to attend.

Tickets are non-refundable. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Come celebrate the abundance of the full Moon Sunday evening with a special meditation with Joti Nam Kaur (Dr. Adele Giotta, D.C.).

The Full Moon Meditation we will do can only be done on the day of the full Moon or on the day before or after it. Native Americans call the full Moon in November the Beaver Moon.  This is the time of year that beavers take shelter in their dams. They have stored food for winter and their fur is thick. It is also called the Frost Moon because this time of year it becomes more chilly.

We will do a Kundalini Kriya to get our energy flowing followed by a full Moon meditation and then relax while the sound of the gong vibrates every cell. It is said the vibration of the gong is the same as the sound of creation and that being close to a gong will synchronize your cells to the universe.
